Go to the online edition of a national magazine or newspaper such as Time, Newsweek, National Geographic, U.S. News & World Report, The New York Times, or The Washington Post. Locate and review a cover story that uses different types of support.
1) Provide basic information about the story, including: a link so your classmates can review it, name of the publication, and title of the story. Do not post the entire story.
2) List examples of a fact, expert or peer testimony, a statistic, and an analogy.
3) Are the supporting materials presented effective or ineffective? Explain why. If they are ineffective, how could they be improved?
