Consider a buck converter with the following specifications,

Vin = 80V, R = 9Ω, Pout = 100W, fsw = 50kHz, C = 24 μF, L = 226μH

a) Determine Vout, D, Iout, IL ID, Iin, ΔiL, iLmax, iLmin

a) Find the RIMS value of the capacitor, diode, and input currents.

c) It is desired to reduce the inductor current ripple by half, find the new inductor value that can acconmlish this.

d) If the switching fiequmcy reduced to 40kHz. find the inductor value that results the same inductor current ripple as part a.

e) It is desired to have iLmin = 0 find the value of the inductanice that can be accomplish this (fsw = 50 KHz).

f) Set the inductor value back to the initial value and find the value of load resistance that results to iLmin = 0.
