Examine relationship in openness to experience and grit

Problem:

Rewrite humanized : This study used a correlational research design to examine the relationship between openness to experience and grit. Both openness and grit were assessed using established multiitem Likert-type scales, which are conventional instruments in personality and motivational psychology (Duckworth et al., 2007). However, because the study used mean composite scores, these variables are treated as continuous in accordance with standard practice in personality and trait psychology (De Vries & Mussel, 2021). Composite Likert scales with multiple items tend to be similar to interval-level measurement and typically exhibit adequate reliability, making them appropriate for these analyses (Khodaverdian Dehkordi et al., 2021). A Pearson's correlation analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between openness to experience and grit. Pearson's r correlation was selected because both openness and grit are treated as continuous variables, and the test measures the strength and direction of a linear relationship between two continuous variables (Amoozegar & Krishnasamy, 2025). Data was analyzed in JASP to determine whether the hypothesized positive relationship between openness and grit emerged in the sample. Need Assignment Help?
