Illicit Drugs Substance use has been associated with truancy, school drop-out, behavioral problems, poor academic performance, and expulsion (Morojele et al., 2021; Atuhaire & Kyomuhendo, 2025). Furthermore, the socio-economic challenges faced by many families, including poverty and lack of access to quality education, make it difficult for youth to resist substance use.
