Discuss - whether worship is only singing

Problem:

"Worship is only singing."

Ironically, when I was looking at this discussion before I did any readings or watched any videos I thought in my mind, "That verse about presenting ourselves as living sacrifices would be perfect here." The reason being, we are giving ourselves to the worship of the Lord totally, not just our voices. Though, the Lord definitely loves when we sing to him! "Shout (or sing in NIV translation) for joy in the Lord, O you righteous! Praise benefits the upright." (Psalm 33:1)

When I came to this revelation personally, I remember instantly thinking of other ways I could worship the Lord because I used to believe that God was distant and we needed to sing to Him so He draws near, instead now I understand that when we worship we draw near to Him, He's always near to us.

Going down this path now, I came across this verse in Colossians: "Whatever you do, work heartily for the Lord and not for men ... You are serving the Lord Christ." (Colossians 3:22-23) It then clicked that how we work is a way we can worship the Lord. I also have learned and studied other methods of worship as well: how we serve the church, how we serve unbelievers, how we lead our families, tithing, and how we witness about the Lord Jesus. Ultimately, this circles back to the verse I pondered for this course, Romans 12:1-2. When we present ourselves as a living sacrifice, we say, "Take all of me Lord and use it for your glory. Use the talents you gave me, use these finances, use my struggles even for your glory."
