Problem
Tesco employed 45,000 temporary workers in March 2020 to fill the labour gap caused by the increase in online orders. And Tesco announced in August 2020 that it will add 15,000 permanent jobs related to online ordering. And this recruiting will be centred on internal recruitment, complemented by external recruitment, with preference given to temporary employees who have previously worked for Tesco and are eager to stay.
For these two recruitment, the workforce action plan in Tesco's HRM practice is analyzed and suggestions are given.
