Problem
Lines can have qualities that suggest emotion.
1) Artworks that use a grid or a pattern of vertical and horizontal lines and have a sense of rational control.
2) While artworks that emphasize loose, free lines can suggest a lack of structure and appear emotional and/or chaotic.
Watch the following video of artist Cai Guo-Qiang in "Power".
