KUVAL from the instructor of the crisis role and provider you would like LO Interview. The student will research the various professional roles of a crisis counselor (one who provides trauma- based counseling to individuals in some type of crises situation). The student will choose one role of personal interest, locate and secure a currently employed individual in this role and conduct a personal interview. The purpose of this assignment is to introduce the student to potential job roles within their career field choice. This is also a good way to "meet" a current professional in the career field you are interested in, allowing you to begin "networking" as a future professional. The content gleamed from the student's personal research, the visit and interview with the provider will be documented in a reflective essay, which will include: a title page, minimum of 1.5 pgs. of content. The student will use APA format in creating the reflective essay. Required sections of the reflective paper:
A. Discuss and describe the professional crisis counselor role you chose and why.
B. Discuss and describe the professional crisis counselor you chose to interview and why.
C. Discuss and describe overall how you feel the visit and interview (what were your feelings and perceptions before, during, and after the interview).
D. Report the information gleamed from the interview.
E. Discuss and describe the insight you are taking away from this experience.
