Please note we are not clinically recommending Sophia for an overnight home pass due to multiple instances of unsafe behaviors. During the week of 01/12 Sophia displayed verbal and physical aggression while in the school setting, Sophia was suspended due to these behaviors which included her using a scissor to cut her own finger intentionally. Just this week Sophia was suspended due to physical aggression towards a teacher. In speaking with the school yesterday, it was noted that Sophia often times causes major disruption within the classroom setting often times engaging other youth in the negative behaviors. When I met with Sophia for session she denied hitting the teacher, while also report that she was speaking to a peer when she stated "move bitch". Despite only the teacher and her being in close proximity. Sophia has not been able to take accountability in both situations and struggled to understand where she went wrong. In addition, Sophia resorted to reporting that the teacher was trying to turn kids against her, by telling them not to talk to her. I asked Sophia could it have been that she was trying to ensure that the other kids don't engage in negativity behaviors and she stated no. She then began to say how the teacher's can't do there job, which is the typic response we see when Sophia struggles with accepting her part in situations. Unfortunately due to these unsafe behaviors and her lack of ability to take accountability her overnight visit is not therapeutically recommended this week.
