The terminal and instrumental values are two categories specified by one researcher, Milton Rokeach. There are more and as OB students, you should be exposed to them. I should point out that the additional researchers and not discussed in your textbook, therefore, will not appear in your exam. The attached video is a nice summary of three different approaches to view values. The section of terminal versus instrumental values is very nicely done and will help you further understand the constructs in your chapter.
