Assignment: Fundamentals of Psychology- Assessing Research
Instructions
Using The Chicago School library, locate an empirical article from a recent peer reviewed journal (2014 or newer). Your chosen article should feature a study and include several elements such as one of the research methods discussed in this week's readings, as well as participants and the study's outcome. Particular elements should include a hypotheses, method, results, and conclusion. Once you have located an appropriate study/article, develop a 2-page paper that provides a brief introduction of the study and the question that researcher(s) attempted to address. This section should also include the hypotheses of the study.
Then describe:
a) the research design used
b) what the researchers discovered
c) any limitations in the study
d) why the researchers think their findings are important
e) your critical assessment on the strengths and weaknesses of the study
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
(1) The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
(2) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
(3) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
