Case Study Scenario:
Robby is having trouble falling asleep when getting home from work at midnight and seems to wake up throughout the night even after falling asleep. Robby also seems to be worrying more and more about problems at work and school. Often, Robby feels tightness in the chest area when arriving at work or school. Occasionally the feelings are so overwhelming that Robby bolts to the bathroom to throw up. Robby wants to call and get parental help and support, but it has been over a year since they talked and there is fear about reaching out to them. Robby's employer is not sympathetic and has given Robby two warnings about "these episodes" and threatened with termination if it happens again. Schoolwork also seems to be slipping and harder to complete these last few months. Robby has thoughts that they are not a very good person and has confided in a friend that they feel like they have low self-esteem and not much energy these days.
