Please analyze Raskolnikov’s motivation for murder and how it develops/evolves throughout the novel. Pay special attention to his article and his conversations (confession and his last visit) with Sonya, as weel as the rest of the last chapters and epilogues. Also address the question of confession versus repentance. Please use Joseph Frank’s article in your Norton edition, “The World of Raskolnikov” (567-78), tp help with your analysis. Feel free to use other articles in your edition as well.
