There are multiple ways to infer population growth. Consider the Ychr haplogroup R1b. Create a mismatch distribution (approximately) from this haplogroup. Is the timing of this expansion congruent with the introduction of agriculture in Europe? Does the timing of the expansion follow the same pattern as the mtDNA (i.e. are there sex-biased differences?)
