Question: G.S. is an 8-year-old female who presented to the emergency department with her father with a complaint of right wrist pain after falling off the monkey bars at school. She was diagnosed with a Colles' fracture (fracture of the distal radius) and underwent a closed reduction under conscious sedation with cast placement. She is being discharged now and she and her father will receive the discharge teaching.
