The term "Big Data" is highly used in healthcare.
• Can we define this term? Why did we need it? Also, can we include the applications/tools that are best prepared to handle Big Data?
I think we all know by now that there is a tremendous amount of data available in healthcare. From operational, strategic, clinical, satisfaction, and the list can go on. Many think we should have a national EMR. So that is one EMR that all providers use and not have competing providers.
• Class, what are your thoughts? Do you like the idea? Against it? Why?
The response should include a reference list. Using one-inch margins, Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space and APA style of writing and citations.
