Problem: We now live an era of technologies, like in vitro fertilization and gene editing, that give people greater ability to choose the genetic makeup of their children. What can scientists learn from the impacts of eugenics on people of different races and cultural groups? What about people who aren't scientists? Can eugenic thinking and its effects can be seen in the U.S. today? If so, what are some examples? If not, why might this no longer be the case?
