Briefly summarize the contributions of the theory

Problem

I'm sure you all have fond recollection of our lecture discussion of George Herbert Mead's observation, that "out of language emerges the field of Mind." Of the theories or theoretical perspectives you learned about in this course, which did the most to enrich or deepen your capacity to understand sociological realities? Differently put, what theory or perspective-its concepts, causal explanations, claims or propositions about socio-historical life contributed most to the enlargement of your own "field of Mind"?

Briefly summarize the contributions of the theory or perspective you found most informative or interesting, and provide justifications for your choice (e.g., what insights did the theory provide? how did it challenge or change your view or understanding of social life and history? etc.).
