Assessment
The patient will present with striking pallor, irritability and lethargy due to anaemia, bledding or bruising and petechiae due to thrombocytopenia, fever and infection due to neutropenia. There is stomatitis, ulceration and membrane formation on the tonsils, pharynx and rest of the oral cavity, absence of bone tenderness, glandular examination which shows Pancytoperiia with decreased haemoglobin, white cells (Primarily neutrophils) and platelets. Bone marrow examination shows decreased cellularity with diminished precursors of all blood elements.
