Almost everyone at custer has had enough and is looking for

Almost everyone at Custer has had enough and is looking for new jobs. Brenda Livingston, the VP of Operations, found one, or at least she thought so. ABC Publishing in New York sent her an email promising she could have a job at $200K a year with them if she could be there by Monday. She sold her house over the weekend and took off for New York. She rented an apartment in Manhattan and showed up at ABC on Monday morning. When she got there, the president of ABC told her he had changed his mind, and, since they didn't have a contract, there's nothing she can do about it. Could Brenda successfully sue? If so, why? If not, why not?
