Russian Revolutions:
Compare and contrast Revolution of 1905 with Revolution of 1917 (February and October). Also discuss these following points:
a. Revolution of 1905 threatened but did not topple Tsarist regime.
b. World War I stressed the fragile civic peace established by after 3rd of July 1907.
c. February Revolution of 1917 connected public indignation at the strategic failures at the front with war weariness and mistrust of the monarchy.
d. October of 1917 was a result of both failures of Provisional Government and aggressive leadership of Bolsheviks.
e. Unilateral treaty with Germany signed by Bolsheviks did not lead to peace. Instead, Civil War broke out in the struggle of White Armies to topple
Bolshevik regime.
