Using Deception as a strategic tool (INDIVIDUAL)
Discussing in detail each of the following
1. Looking at other strategic moves in history we know that the Reagan sponsored "starwars" missile defense program was just a ploy to get the Russian government to spend more money on defense and eventually it bankrupted the Soviet Union. -The strategy was to use a deception in order to achieve a goal. Looking at the Moon Movie, what is the most compelling strategic reason, as presented in the moon movie, for the United States government to FAKE the First and second moon landing?
2. The Russians stated that we never when to the moon - they had more firsts in space and more time in space than the USA. They claim that in the years between 1968 and 1974, the USA never landed a man on the moon. What strategic reason would they have said this unless it was true? Is there anything in the movie that would support the Russian position?
3. According to the "Myth Busters" each aspect of the moon landing presented in the movie can be duplicated on earth and it is plausible that the first Moon landings never happened. So did we go to the moon in 1968? Did Neil Armstrong really walk on the moon? Or do we just believe what we hold as a culturally accepted norm? What strategic reason would the government have to lie to the people? What was going on at the time where the government would want to "route" focus and or money to other things?
