Agammaglobulinemia

Agammaglobulinemia:

Agammaglobulinaemia is a recessive gene disease, where r-globulin synthesis fails to take place. In such disease, the patient exhibits a great deficiency or complete absence of plasma cells and abnormal lymph nodes with fewer lymphocytes than usual. The failure of antibody production in this disease makes the subjects more prone to viral and bacterial infections particularly of the chest. Such disease mainly affects boys.
