Introduction of Gaseous state:
There are three classical states of matter and Gaseous state is one of them, and others are solid and liquid. A substance exists as a solid near the absolute zero. Since heat is added to that substance, at its melting point it melts into a liquid and at its boiling point it boils into a gas and if heated high enough would enter a plasma state in which the electrons are so energized that they leave their parent atoms from within the gas. By the individual atoms (e.g. a noble gas or atomic gas such as neon) a pure gas may made up, from one type of atom (e.g. oxygen) elemental molecules made up, or from a variety of atoms (e.g. carbon dioxide), compound molecules made up. A gas mixture would contain a variety of pure gases that are very similar to the air. What features differentiate a gas from the other two states of matter (that are liquids and solids) is the vast separation of the individual gas particle. That separation in general makes a gas that is colorless, invisible to the human observer. In presence of gravitational and electric fields, the interaction of gas particles are considered negligible as indicated by the constant velocity vectors in the image.
In between the liquid and plasma states, gaseous state of matter is found, latter of which provides the upper temperature boundary for gases. Bounding the lower end of the temperature scale lays degenerate quantum gases which are gaining increased attention these days. The classification of High-density atomic gas super cooled to incredibly low temperatures, is by their statistical behaviour as either a Bose gas or a Fermi gas.
Introduction of Liquid state
There are three classical states of matter and liquid state is one of them, with no fixed shape but a definite volume. From tiny vibrating particles of matter, like atoms and molecules, held together by forces called chemical bonds the Liquid is made up. The most common example of liquid is Water. a liquid is able to flow and take the shape of a container like a gas. Several of the liquids resist compression, whereas others can be compressed. Not like a gas, a liquid does not disperse to fill every space of a container and maintains a fairly constant density. Unique characteristic of the liquid state is the "surface tension" leading to wetting phenomena.
