Introduction to TDMA (Time division multiple access) Transmission:

Time division multiple access (TDMA) is a channel access technique for shared medium networks. TDMA permits various users to share similar frequency channel by dividing the signal into dissimilar time slots. The users transmit in fast succession, one after another, every one using his own time slot. This permits several stations to share similar transmission medium (for example radio frequency channel) when using only a part of its channel capacity. TDMA is employed in the digital 2G cellular systems like Personal Digital Cellular (PDC), Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM), IS-136, and iDEN, and in the Digital improved Cordless.
