ALIGNMENT

The procedure of adjusting tuned circuits and settings the variable capacitors to enhance the selectivity and sensitivity of the receiver is known as alignment.

SETTING THE RECEIVER

5. AVC has not functioned.

6. Volume control should be in maximum position of it.

7. Tone control should be in minimum position of it.

SETTING THE GENERATOR

1. Put the generator in ON position of it.

2. Mode and band selector controls should be in wanted positions.

3. Select the needed IF signal (455 KHz) through tuning the frequency selector.

4. RF output control should be in maximum position of it.

5. Output terminal (Cable) is to be connected at RF output point.
