The coil's active side is spread as in the below diagram (a) and the coil sides are inserted in the respective armature slots, conductor by conductor as displayed in the below diagram (b). Likewise each coil of the armature is placed in the respective slots and the coil ends are looped and soldered to the particular commutator segments.
