As the crystalline lens is a convex spherical lens it makes inverted images on the retina (that is, every converging lens makes inverted images). The inverted information obeys via the optical nerves till the occipital cerebral cortex which includes the visual region of the brain. In brain the interpretation of the image occurs and the inverted information is reverted.
