The near point is the closest distance between an object and eye which makes possible the formed image to be focused, that is, it is the point in that the ciliary muscles are in their maximum contraction. The far point is most distant point from the eye in that an object can be placed and its image is still focused, that is, it is the condition of maximum relaxation of ciliary muscles. The zone between near point and far point is named as the accommodation zone.
