Explain the subkingdoms in which the plant kingdom is subdivided?

The kingdom Plantae is subdivided into two big subkingdoms:
a) The bryophytes and
b) The tracheophytes (pteridophytes, gymnosperms and angiosperms). The criterion of division includes the presence or not of the conductive (vascular) tissue.
