Ideally the DNA molecule must replicate in a right manner. Sometimes however failures in the replication take place, with variation (substitution, deletion or addition) of one or more nucleotides in molecule.

Those mistakes, or the mutations, consequently make alters in protein synthesis procedure too. For instance, the production of significant protein for cells or tissues might be suppressed; new inutile or utile proteins can be created, and so forth.
