(i) Exam Syndrome: One of the clearest drawbacks is the examination-taking disorder. Solid performer in day-to-day function feel choked in the simulated environment.
(ii) Unfavorable Effect on Potential: Another drawback is its potential adverse effect on those not chosen to take part in the exercise.
(iii) Negative Reaction: Employees who would be given a poor report from the centre may retort in negative way.
(iv) Poor Report Demoralizes Employee: An excellent performer at one level may abscond the organization in order to get rid of the bad evaluation report from his or her work record. So, a poor report can dishearten an employee who was previously an asset.
(v) Other Problems: Other problems include-strong and damaging competition sense among the assessors, difficulty of conducting tests frequently.
