When workers jointly stop to work in an industry with a purpose to create the management agrees to their wants, they are stated to be on strike.

Strike can be categorized into following types which are illustrated below:

i.) Economic strike – for wants like wages and bonus and increment in salary
ii.) Sympathetic strike – to support the strike in any other component.
iii.) General Strike – Strike through all the unions in an industry or area.
iv.) Sit down strike – Workers come to the work place however do not work
v.) Slow down strike – Workers work however at a low efficiency
vi.) Sick – A great number of members call in sick on the similar day.
vii.) Wild cat strikes – Taken out with the consent of unions.
