Air vessel is a closed chamber which is containing the compressed air in the upper part and liquid being pumped in the lower part.
Purpose of air vessel:
a) To get the continuous supply of liquid at a continuous rate. b) To save power required to run the pump. (By using an air vessel, the acceleration and friction heads are considerably reduced). c) To drive the pump at much higher speed without any danger of separation.
