Topic 1: Poisonous Substances
Before posting a message, read Chapter 18, concentrating on types of poisonous substances that are commonly found in homes, garages, cars and yards. In your response, address four issues:
1. Identify any poisonous items that you find in your own home, yard or garage.
2. Look in your yard, identify and make a statement of whether or not you found poison oak and ivy and state what you do to eliminate the poison oak or ivy.
3. What have you done to protect against pets, children or adults coming into contact with the poisonous substances?
4. Describe the circumstances of poisoning incident in which you have been involved or witnessed including how the contact occured, the resultant signs and symptoms, the care given and whether or not it followed the care guidelines in the texbook.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also Include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
