Topic: Effects of Diversity and Ethnicity
Diversity and ethnicity affect an individual's risk of developing several of the illnesses covered in the chapter on sudden illnesses. In the textbook you will find information about risk factors for those "sudden" illnesses. Some demographic groups are at higher risk for conditions like heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. Be sure to specify the ethnic group you are addressing. There are seven issues to address in this posting. As you address the issues do not simply repeat information given in a previous posting. You must add new information. How do each of these lifestyle factors in the ethnic group you are addressing affect the health of that specific ethnic group? Be sure and specify the ethnic group you are addressing.
1. The ethnic group you are addressing. If you do not want to select your own ethnicity, select one not used by a previous student posting.
2. dietary intake (basic foods in diet).
3. ways that foods are prepared.
4. attitude toward physical activity and exercise.
5. use of tobacco and alcohol.
6. attitude toward overweight and overfat.

8. what will it take to bring about reduction of the risks in this ethnic group?
