They should be able to securely provide all the information required by the university,and receive notifications as their admissions packet is reviewed and a decision is made by theadmissions committee.The functionality of the system is listed below:

• Fill out forms providing all candidate information required for admission

• Allow recommenders to provide input on their perceptions of the candidate

• Maintain a paperless file on each candidate

• Interface with applicable external systems such as the Educational Testing Service (ETS)in order to import standardized test scores

• Allow admissions personnel to access all candidates' information

• Provide messages to the candidate and to admissions personnel as the candidate's filestatus changesBusiness Value:We expect the number of applicants to increase as a result of a wider scope of potential studentswho can apply and track their application status through the new Internet presence.We expectthe number of top-notch applicants who choose to accept our offer of admission to increase,because we will provide a better and faster admissions experience than many other colleges theymay consider.We also expect the costs of our admissions process to be reduced as weautomate processes that are currently manual, slow and labor-intensive.Conservative estimates of tangible value to the university includes:
