Your friend has invented a game based on the rolls of two

My homework problem is:
Your friend has invented a game based on the rolls of two fair dice. If the product of the rolls is even, then he will pay you 1 dollar. If the product of the rolls is odd, then he wont pay you anything. What are the odds in favor of the product being even? At most, how much would you be willing to pay your friend to play this game.
I am extreemly confused on how to find the probability f it being even because everywhere I look and when I do the problem I get 18/36 but the answer says 27/36. How is that possible?
