Xerarch - Kinds of Succession
When the succession takes place in drier area, i.e., the succession progresses from xeric to mesic conditions. It is further subdivided as:
- Lithosere - when it takes place on bare rocks;
- Psammosere - when succession takes place in a sandy area, like sand dunes. In this section, we shall discuss in detail, an example each of Hydrarch and Xerarch.
