Write difference between formulas and functions

Assignment task: Please review and response this post below:

The difference between formulas and functions is that formulas are shown in symbols and it could typically be a rule. On the other hand, a function is a relationship between one or more variables. If I had to pick a function I would pick the AVERAGE function. The reason why I would choose the average function is that it helps with finding information such as percentages and yearly numbers. Sometimes businesses need simple ways to solve yearly mathematical situations and with Excel and the average function that is possible. For example, let's say that nine coworkers and you which makes it ten want to calculate the average salary between all. All you would do is go to the column where all the salaries are listed per employee we will take the AVERAGE from the formulas section and pick AVERAGE. You have to have a reference cell and then you can continue to use auto-fill by double-clicking on the right-hand corner of the cell to apply the formula to the whole data set. With AVERAGE this will sum the numbers and then in this case take the sum and divide by 10 to get the accurate AVERAGE.
