Title: Movie review
Project instructions:
Instructions for Video Review Assignment. You are to sign up on Blackboard for one of the groups. You must choose a group and sign up, your paper will receive a grade of 0 if you do not sign up in Blackboard for the specific group that you paper is based upon. Groups are limited in size to 6 people per group, and they are first come, first serve. The sooner you sign up, the more likely it is that you will be able to choose the video that you prefer.
You are to write a short review of the video approximately 500 words in length that discusses the principles, concepts and theories discussed in this course. I suggest strongly that you use your principles and concepts reference sheet that is provided in your course pack and in Blackboard (under course documents). You should bold and underline the principles, concepts and theories that you use in your discussion, in order to help you focus on your use of these terms. You will be graded on your ability to develop a sociological discussion in this assignment. Your paper must be much more than just simply a discussion of what you learned from the video. Rather, it should develop a sociological perspective relating to the content of the video. Please review the grading rubric in order to guide your efforts. Again, I stress leaning on the principles and concepts reference sheet to assist your effort. Papers are subject to be run through safe assign, so be sure that you are developing your own discussion.
