Write a response to while ehrs offer numerous benefits

Question: Write a response to While EHRs offer numerous benefits, they also come with potential flaws. One major flaw that comes to mind is the dependency on technology. What I mean by this is that, if there was to be a power outage or a network error, patient care would be disrupted and so would the work flow. At my place of employment, we had a network error that lasted about three hours. Our work continuity slowed down tremendously, which resulted in upset patients, and technically, poor patient care. We had to switch over and document everything with paper and pen, until the network was back up and running. EHR is owned by patients themselves, and healthcare providers and institutions. I do believe that this could be problematic for patient care because patients do not have full control over their health information/data stored in EHRs. For example, I use Epic at work and when I am filling out the needed information after completing an exam, I have to restrict the patient from seeing it. This is a prime example of how us as healthcare workers can make it more problematic for our patients and their care.
