Construct a ‘biography' of a product, tracing its progress from the time it was introduced. How long did it take to diffuse to the mass market? Do the same consumers use the product now as those who first adopted it? What are its future prospects - is it destined for obsolescence? Would you characterize the product as either a classic or a fad?
