Why would we change it

Discussion Post

So I would say that I would take the side of the federalists. Having the constitution as our main source of laws and rules to follow is helpful because these laws have been layed out for our country for a long time. Why would we change it? We will still be in the same place of self-government. Also, the division of power among different branches of government is very important. If one branch has all the power, then the same people ALWAYS get to make the final decision, which isn't fair because the majority of the population could believe differently. Equally divided power works better in our country because then everyone gets more of a voice in what is happening in our nation. Breaking up the power between the branches helped the Articles of Confederation not to be such a weak link in our government system.
