Problem: I think the main reason why some Americans have such a low college graduation rate comes down to social class. As much as we used to all hear the world doesn't revolve around money, it does. It is so hard for someone who doesn't come from money or has seen their family find a way themselves, to see it as obtainable. Statistics show that race plays a role in it as well, white people have the highest graduation rates and make more money on average than others, especially African Americans. This is for a number of things in my opinion. The main reason I think that the numbers are so low is opportunity for children to have the financial help as well as the education. If a person lives in a bad school district those kids will not get nearly the amount of education as someone living in a distinct that has money funneled in left and right. They lack the opportunity to thrive. If a person doesn't make a lot of money they are going to look for jobs to make it by and don't have time or money to put into furthering their education.
