Does animals deserve moral consideration? Why or why not, and to what extent?
Why do nonhuman animals deserve or not deserve moral consideration? What, if anything, makes us morally different from animals? If animals deserve moral consideration, is it equal to or less than humans? How would your view on animal ethics affect practical use of animal products in our society? Choosing one of the ethical theories (such as utilitarianism or deontology) what would that theory say about how to treat animals ethically?
