The purpose of analyzing cases is to apply concepts from class lectures and readings to real problems faced by real people. These cases require you to put yourself in the shoes of the protagonist, analyze situations, and make decisions despite uncertainty, risk, and limited information.
Mount Everest-1996
In your case write-up answer the following questions:
1. Why did this tragedy occur? What is the root cause of this disaster?
2. What factors created a climate in which people felt uncomfortable expressing dissent and engaging in a candidate exchange of ideas and opinions?
3. Group dynamics can lead to suboptimal decision making. Did you notice any of these processes at play in the Mt. Everest tragedy? Identify and explain two of them.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
