To incorporate a quotation or a paraphrase into the paper, you need an introductory phrase or sentence, such as : According to ... The ellipsis here is the name of the author. If that is not available, use the title of the article between quotation marks.

Who should not carry a gun?
No one knows better about the benefits and risks of carrying a weapon than members of the military. In your opinion, should every person in America carry a gun, or should there be exceptions?

Every topic sentence has to state one category of people that should not be allowed to carry a gun. The rest of the paragraph has to explain why these people can pose danger to others when they are allowed to carry a gun.
