"The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost uses the metaphor of the autumn of the year to represent the "autumn" of one's life, or middle age. Often literature uses the seasons in nature to represent stages of a person's life. If spring represents birth, summer is youth, autumn is middle age, and winter is old age; which stage do you identify with and why?
