Problem
Big data is collection of data from various sources characterized by 3V's (volume, velocity and variety). Data mart is used for storing data typically les than 100 GB, where as data ware house is used for storing large volumes of data typically larger than 100Gb.
Data mart is often used for holding one subjects area, where as data ware ware house is used for holding multiple subject areas. Data mart is built by using a dimensional model such as star schema, where as data warehouse does not use a dimensional model.."
